Description
The wolf is an important figure in Northwest Coast Native art, symbolizing family, loyalty, intelligence, and protection. Many First Nations view the wolf as a spiritual guide and a model of strong community bonds. In carvings, prints, and other artworks, the wolf often represents guardianship, resilience, and, for some Nations, clan identity. Its presence continues to influence both traditional and contemporary artists across the region.
This limited edition silk screen print titled “Kwa-Giulth Wolf” by Alvin Child was hand produced by the screen-printing process. It is the only limited-edition printing of this design. The artist has inspected and signed each copy in the edition. The printer has destroyed all trial copies and obliterated the printing stencils.
