Kelly Cannell’s Salish Sea is a limited edition print depicting marine life (orca and salmon) and the constant movement of the waters.

The Salish Sea is a place of great cultural significance to the Indigenous population of the area. It has provided medicine, food and travel/trade routes for thousands of years.

The sea has a coastline of 7,500 km (4,600 miles) and a surface area of nearly 17,000 square kilometers, or 6,500 square miles. More than 8 million people live along its shores from the Strait of Georgia to the Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

This serigraph is #1 from an edition of two (2) printer’s proofs. The regular edition consists of 84 signed and numbered prints.

This limited edition silk screen print titled “Salish Sea” by Kelly Cannell was hand produced by the screen-printing process. It is the only limited-edition printing of this design. The artist has inspected and signed each copy in the edition. The printer has destroyed all trial copies and obliterated the printing stencils.
