Cori Savard (Yahl ‘Aadaas) was born on Haida Gwaii. She has studied her ancestors’ art under Robert Davidson and his brother Reg Davidson. This includes two dimensional design, cedar weaving and the carving of masks, sculptures and totem poles.

Between 2012 and 2020, she was mentored by Ben Davidson (son of Robert Davidson), expanding her knowledge of painting and carving, as well as jewellery design.

Cori is the recipient of multiple scholarships and awards for her cultural vision and artistic determination.

She works from her studio in Skidegate, Haida Gwaii and maintains a close working relationship with Reg Davidson.
