Manuel Salazar is an Indigenous artist from Seattle, WA. He is affiliated with the Cowichan tribe of the Coast Salish Nation.
In his early twenties, Manuel began to work full-time as an artist, interpreting the legends of his Salish heritage. He has apprenticed with Delmar Johnny and Art Vickers, while he also drew inspiration from the works of Simon Charlie and Robert Davidson.
Salazar has developed his own unique style, blending traditional Salish elements with bright, contemporary graphics.
